OH MY GOSH!
I have been waiting to make this post for a while! One of my favorite book series is A Court of Thorns and Roses. It is a somewhat of a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I first found out about this series through co-workers. I will say its the best book series I have read. Sarah Maas knows just how to keep you in her books. I started ACOTAR without thinking I would be so drawn in. Shortly after, I dived into A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF), and may I just say holy moly! I thought I was into it by the first book but with ACOMAF it really threw the hook in me and twisted so I’d never get away.
I believe it was close to a year later A Court of Wings and Ruin came out. I sped through this book in about a week. My reading speed normally isn’t that fast but I had some coaching from some friends who were reading to. So naturally I had to hurry so we could all gossip about it. There’s nothing better then book talk with some good friends! On to this year though! May 1st the fourth book into the series will be out. A Court of Frost and Starlight!
||A companion tale to the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series that takes place several months after the explosive events of A Court of Wings and Ruin
Narrated by Feyre and Rhysand, this story bridges the events in A Court of Wings and Ruin and the upcoming novels in the series. Feyre, Rhys and their companions are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly changed world beyond. But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it a hard-earned reprieve. Yet even the festive atmosphere can’t keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated – scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.||—pulled from Sarah’s website
If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend it and if I’m not convincing enough I have at least four friends who will convince you! I can say what ever book I’m reading before this, I will stop reading because this book has me so excited. With that being said I’ve been all over the internet finding theories that fans are predicting for ACOFAS. Some are interesting and I hope most happen. I want all the drama with Rhys and Feyre! But Sarah hasn’t disappointed me yet. Below here I want to list some theories I’ve found. So be warned there could be possible spoilers after this!
A Court of Frost and Starlight Theories
One theory I ran across on Tumblr is that ACOFAS will center around Winter Court. This makes sense considering that’s where the wedding of Feyre and Rhysand is suppose to take place. Also Sarah is really good about leaving hints that you don’t catch until its already over. Frost-Winter. See what I mean there? But to go along with this, the theory I read was that it obviously wont be a perfect wedding scene. Some kind of drama is bound to go down during this big day.
This next theory I feel like is just obvious for any type of romantic book. Feyre will be pregnant. I don’t know how this would go with this series.
Something a friend of mine and fellow blogger/book nerd Mrs Kaley Connell said to me was a theory on a character that wasn’t in much of the limelight, Amren. We were talking the other day and I said to her that I wish Sarah Maas would elaborate more on Amern. In ACOWAR we got a better glimpse of Amern, but it never really said what she is. Kaley gave me a good idea. She could be an angel. We have all types of fae in this book. Wolves were mentioned. So why not angels?
((Psst!!! See the link in Kaley’s name? Yeah go click it! She’s a pretty awesome writer and has some great book reviews on her blog!))
Honestly though, I’m probably more thrilled about this upcoming book then I am anything else. Oh and I wanted to add in this tidbit. Sarah has no shame to how long she’s making/made this book. I was watching a video of a talk she had during a ACOWAR signing and she stated it was suppose to be a novella but made the remark “we’ll see how that turns out.” Literally hearing those words made me fangirl squeal on the inside!! But for now I’m wrapping up this talk because I could literally chat about these books for hours on end. I’m sure you guys will receive more chatter from me between now and May on this book as I know more info or hints will be released. So stay tuned!!
